Children's Feet

Feet are amazing structures of natural engineering.

At birth feet would be on average 10 cm long. At six months of age the foot is still mostly cartilage.

By 2 years the foot bones strengthen and grow significantly.

Poor fitted shoes can easily push young feet out of shape.

By 18 years old most of the bones are fully formed.

A check up with the Podiatrist is recommended:

  • If your child complains of recurrent pain in feet and legs
  • Your child is constantly tripping and falling
  • If you notice any lumps or bumps on the feet
  • Uneven walking or uneven shoe wear
